Benefits And Deficiencies Of Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids
Our bodies can-not manufacture the essential fatty acids Omega-6 and Omega-3 from foods we eat. They must be supplied daily in the diet, or in supplement form.
Our daily supply of Omega-6’s is usually not a problem, because they can be found in all foods containing nuts, seeds, grains, beans, as well as in the oils pressed from these, such as sesame, canola, walnut, safflower, sunflower, rice, soy, and peanut oil.
On the other hand, most people’s daily nutrition is deficient in Omega-3, which is primarily found in fish, and in Flax and Chia seeds.
