Have you ever heard of Dong Quai?
For thousands of years, in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dong Quai has been a well-known and respected herb in the treatment of female complaints.
Dong Quai is also referred to as the female ginseng.
In conditions like P.M.S., painful and abnormal menstruation, in the absence of a monthly cycle, Dong Quai is the herb of choice.
And looking at menopausal symptoms there is enough evidence through clinical studies (in both humans and animals) that Dong Quai helps reduce hot flashes, helps to prevent bone loss, and helps in protecting heart health.
It has also shown great effectiveness in the treatment of breast pain and inflammation, migraines, arthritis, abdominal pain, and out-of-balance blood sugar levels.
Dong Quai, which has extremely low toxicity levels, contains highly effective plant-source estrogens that have a regulating effect on estrogen levels in the body.
Too often we read that estrogen causes all these health problems in both men and women. Some of those stories are absolutely true. However, there is a difference between naturally occurring estrogens and environmental- or xeno-estrogens, which is a topic for a future day…
If you are a woman suffering with hormonal imbalances, Dong Quai may bring you relief.
