Creatine Monohydrate
Creatine Monohydrate has been making headlines in the exercise world since the 1990’s. Anyone looking to increase strength, endurance or lean body-mass could try Creatine.
During any good workout we use up the energy stored in our muscles and we get tired. Creatine helps in the recycling, replenishing, and leveling of muscle energy.
This is what happens: Creatine Monohydrate mixes with phosphates in our blood and changes into Creatine Phosphate. This, in turn, is important for the production of ATP, or Adenosine TriPhosphate. ATP is needed for energy in our cells.
Supplementing with Creatine daily builds a larger reserve of Creatine Phosphate than you would get from food alone. This way you replenish ATP quickly between sets, resulting in increased strength, endurance, and lean body-mass.
Just for reference: Creatine is found in different foods, with the highest concentration in red meat. For just five grams of Creatine Monohydrate powder you would need to eat 2 ½ pounds of raw red meat. Our body stores it until needed and there are no side effects.
It will really Pump-You-Up, Ya!
