Last time, I mentioned this article titled The Testosterone Controversy on the website from Life Extension Foundation, in 2012.
It was obvious in the published five-year research study that HIGH testosterone in men is very important for heart health, lowering the risk for heart attacks, and avoiding strokes.
But another important discovery came out of this research:
There is a direct link between testosterone production and estradiol production. Estradiol is made from testosterone with the help of an enzyme called aromatase.
Last time I mentioned that, on a blood test, the ideal levels of Total Testosterone in men is between 700 and 900. Based on those numbers, a man’s ESTRADIOL levels should be between 22 and 30. So, when Total Testosterone is 700, estradiol should be at 22; and when Total Testosterone is at 900, estradiol levels should be at 30.
The danger comes in when estradiol gets above 37. That is when there is an immediate 133% increased risk for PROSTATE CANCER and, again, cardiovascular issues.
Therefore, the reason why MANY men using Testosterone Therapies end up with prostate cancer after 4 to 5 years, is because the estradiol was never checked annually by any physician.
So by (let’s say) doubling or tripling a man’s testosterone levels in order to return to more vigor, it is important to see what’s happening to the estradiol?
Is the aromatase enzyme very active, or not?
I believe that many prostate cancers can be avoided by checking the relationship between these hormones, and by using the above mentioned numbers.
