Ever since vaccine companies could not be made liable for any side-effects of inoculations, vaccinations applied with a needle into the skin officially became "Unavoidably Unsafe" (US Supreme Court quote). This was when in late 1988 vaccine manufacturers started adding the mercury substance Thimerosal to the shots as a so-called preservative to save money (50 cents a dose!). However, after the addition of mercury and other adjuvants (such as aluminum), researchers have noticed an increase in Sudden Infant Death (SIDS), autism, stunted development of children, and also fertility issues. My guest Ricky L Barnes, maker of the documentary "50 Cents a Dose" explains what he has learned while making this movie; also, how pharmaceutical companies received government contracts, and he talks about the resistance experienced bringing this project to the larger audience.
